Let's face it, we are digitally connected beyond our own estimates. We were headed this way during the age of the beeper and the emergence of cell phones. During this rise, a businesses potential customer still had to either look in the Yellow Pages for your product and or service, be influenced by direct advertising and/or marketing, or better yet, word-of-mouth referrals. When the internet begain its rise in parellel with the cell phone, Google became an important factor for finding information and slowly began to replace the Yellow Book. Businesses that early adapters, jumped in and tasked anyone with know-how to design and develop their company a website. Being the first to market was a big advantage and paid a big return on the investment. Then came along the crowd trying to play catch up.
